| Division 40 of the American Psychological
Association, the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology, is
a scientific and professional organization of psychologists
interested in the study of brain-behavior relationships, and
the clinical application of that knowledge to human problems.
Division 40 promotes the use of scientific research to develop
its knowledge base and clinical techniques. It is active in
the development and promotion of quality standards of professional
training and practice. |

Welcome to the webpage for the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology (Division 40) of APA. Our membership includes psychologists from diverse areas with interests in clinical and experimental neuropsychology. In addition to our annual program at the APA conference, we are involved in a number of activities to promote the profession. The aims of these activities are to provide career guidance and learning opportunities for graduate students, fellows, and early career psychologists; increase public awareness of the neuropsychology and its benefits to society; foster and protect the practice of clinical neuropsychology; and advance the science of brain-behavior relationships and the application of this knowledge to clinical practice. We are unique among neuropsychological organizations in having access to the resources, expertise, and political clout of APA. As a division that bridges science and practice, we have a particularly important role to play in the future development of APA. We advocate for the interests of neuropsychologists within APA and make important contributions to APA positions and policies. Please explore the website to learn more about Division 40 and consider the opportunities you would have as a member to advance your career and expand your professional network. I encourage you to join and become an active member.
