Welcome to the webpage for the Neuropsychology Division (40) of APA. Our membership is varied and psychologists from all specialty areas who have an interest in clinical and experimental neuropsychology are welcome. Neuropsychology is known for its multidisciplinary nature because it cuts across so many areas in psychology and the health sciences. One of the major advantages of the Division over other neuropsychological organizations is that we have the political resources and expertise of APA behind us. This means that we can be heard on issues that affect our professional interests. As examples, the Division has been actively involved in legislative and professional practice issues regarding implementation of the AMA’s new CPT codes establishing the work value of delivery of neuropsychological services and the use of supervised technicians in neuropsychological practice.  We have been successful in developing a number of new research funding opportunities for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career professionals.  We are currently at work on many other issues affecting the science and practice of clinical neuropsychology as a professional specialty.  Please explore the website and learn about opportunities for you to advance your career.  I hope that you decide to join our Division.
